KANJIRA

The Kanjira is a percussion instrument made from laminated woods such as ash, wenge, walnut, etc. The drum body consists of two rings that are covered with fish skin or goatskin. The upper ring can be easily adjusted with the help of four to five screws built into the lower ring. This allows the fish skin to be easily and quickly tightened at any time.
We generally provide the Kanjiras with goatskin. Of course, other types of skins are also available. Simply specify the desired skin when ordering.

This traditional South Indian frame drum has been given a new design, allowing tuning both traditionally with water as well as with tuning screws.

Discover new sound worlds with this Kanjira and captivate your audience.
The sound is fantastic, especially when modulating with the skin.
