DESCRIPTION
The Bonga is inspired by Konga and Bongo. The Bonga consists of two cube-shaped boxes, connected to each other by hooks. The bottom of one of the two dice is curved inward, and is thus shaped to fit the musician’s thigh where it can be fixed with two adjustable Velcro straps. The boxes consist of two separate departments. The lower box contains lead balls and bells. This results in a shaker effect. In addition the musician can attach Kaskaritas to the sides of Bongas.
Playing music with a Bonga unit combined with Kaskaritas on each thigh, a musician gets a huge variety of musical possibilities.
